Puppies and Their Health Guarantee
All Northern Lights Siberian Huskies and Newfoundlands are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC). We do not sell any puppies without registration papers, but we do sell our pet puppies on a limited registration and also with a spay/neuter contract - this still enables them to participate in companion and performance events, but they cannot be shown in conformation or be bred. We breed to improve the quality of the Siberian Husky and we breed on a limited basis. Breeding for quality, not quantity.
All puppies come with a health guarantee to qualified homes. When the puppies go to their new homes, their vaccinations and deworming schedules are up to date, in addition each puppy is microchipped. We do CAER eye checks and OFA hips and thyroid on all our dogs and recommend that our puppies, whether pet or show, also be checked at the recommended age. This information helps us make informed breeding decisions. We do recommend that new owners take their new puppy to their own veterinarian within seven (7) days to be examined. We have a written contract which is signed by both parties and both parties get a copy of the same contract. All our dogs live in our home and are part of our family, so our puppies are well socialized.
All our puppies go to their new homes with the following:
A health booklet of vaccinations & deworming records
Puppy food and a collar and leash
And a puppy information kit, which includes a 4 generation pedigree, registration papers, picture of parents,
breed information and resource guides, microchip registration form, puppy information, and copy of the sales contract.
We do like to keep in touch with all our puppy owners and appreciate any and all updates from them.
Although we thoroughly enjoy our breeds, they are not suitable for everyone and for every situation. Our goal is to place our puppies in safe, loving homes where they will be loved and cared for, which in the majority of cases means having a secure fenced area for the dog and not letting the dog off leash. We have prospective families visit us before making this lifetime commitment. Visiting our home allows you to see how the puppies are raised and meet generations of our dogs.
We do NOT ship for the above reasons.

Information on Merle, Brindle and “Miniature” Siberian Huskies
SHCA policy statements on merle, brindle and "miniature" Siberian Huskies:
The SHCA strongly believes that merle and brindle patterning areNOT genetically possible in a purebred Siberian Husky, and are only possible due to impure breeding. As such, the Siberian Husky Club of America, Inc. strongly discourages anyone from purchasing a merle or brindle Siberian Husky.
Miniature Siberian Huskies are not a breed or variety of Siberian Huskies and as such are not recognized by the SHCA or the AKC. The SHCA and
its members strive to protect and promote the working abilities of the breed as described in the official AKC breed standard which states: "Height: Dogs, 21 to 23 1/2 inches at the withers, Bitches: 20 to 22 inches at the withers". The SHCA and AKC recognize that this height requirement depicts a functional working sled dog which can still perform its original purpose for which the breed was developed. Any significant deviation from these height requirements cannot
function as a proper working sled dog and thus cannot be deemed a correct Siberian Husky.
For those who prefer a small breed dog, please consider one of the smaller AKC recognized breeds.
