Our Dogs
Over the years our dogs have accrued numerous titles and obedience placements (primarily in all breed trials but also in specialty trials). As listed on our home page, our Siberians have been awarded a number of prestigious awards as well. We are proud to have owned and bred multiple Canadian HIT (from all breed trials), U-CD Northern Light’s Amber Ice, Am/Can CD, WPD. We also have owned and bred the first mother and daughter to have both been awarded the Siberian Husky Club of America’s (SHCA) Highest Scoring Siberian Husky in Novice Obedience, as well as the first littermates to have both been awarded the Siberian Husky Club of America’s (SHCA) Highest Scoring Siberian Husky in Novice Obedience, and the first multi-generations (grandmother-mother-daughter, etc.) Siberians to have all been awarded the Siberian Husky Club of America’s (SHCA) Highest Scoring Siberian Husky in Novice Obedience and Siberian Husky Club of America’s (SHCA) Highest Scoring Siberian Husky in Rally Novice. We have also bred the first bitch to have been awarded in the SAME YEAR both the Siberian Husky Club of America’s (SHCA) Top Winning (Show) Bitch AND the Siberian Husky Club of America’s (SHCA) Highest Scoring Siberian Husky in Rally Novice. In 2021 we were also proud to have the FIRST AKC Grand Champion GOLD Siberian Husky in AKC and SHCA history that also has obedience and/or rally titles! And hopefully we’re not done yet…

Northern Light’s Gold Leaf —”Leaf”
Leaf, as was with his litter sister Shiya, is up for whatever comes his way. He was shown only a few times but handled the new experience like a seasoned show dog. His co-owners report that he really enjoys skijoring and like his litter sister, Shiya, Leaf is quite athletic. Leaf lives with his co-owners where he is enjoys skijoring and being part of their sled dog team.

Shimmer is the first Siberian Husky, in both AKC and SHCA history, that has a GCH Gold AND obedience and rally titles!
Shimmer is a sweet girl that has great movement and is very athletic. In her first time out in the Beginner Puppy competition, Shimmer won her class and breed and then went on to be awarded a Group 4 in the Beginner Puppy Working Group. Her second time out, Shimmer won the Beginner Puppy Working Group and gave the Best in Show Beginner Puppy a serious run for the money! The next time out Shimmer went Winner's Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best of Opposite Sex over Specials and later the same day she placed 2nd in the Puppy Working Group with over 20 other competitors. In January 2015 Shimmer completed her Championship in true style, going Best of Breed and Best Bred-By, then taking a Working Group 3, Bred-By Working Group 1 AND Best In Show Bred-By the same day. The next day she again won Best of Breed - for her first Grand Champion point and an Owner Handled Working Group 1. In February 2015, at the CT Valley Specialty, Shimmer was awarded an Award of Merit her first time competing as a special. At the CT River Working Group Specialty two weeks later, she continued her winning ways by winning Best of Opposite Sex for her first GCH major and was also awarded Best Owner Handled and then Best Owner Handled in Show! The next day she was again awarded a Best of Breed for her second GCH major. Shimmer runs on our recreational team as well. In May 2015 Shimmer achieved her Grand Championship. At the Yankee Siberian Husky Specialty in late May 2015, Shimmer was awarded Best of Opposite Sex and Best of Breed Owner Handled in the morning show. In the afternoon show, she was awarded Select Bitch and again was awarded Best Of Breed Owner Handled . These wins gave her two nice 5 point Grand Championship (GCH) majors towards her Bronze GCH. Between December of 2015, and January of 2016, Shimmer won multiple Best of Breeds, Best of Opposite Sex and Selects, as well as a Working group 4, two group 3's, and a group 2! At the 2016 SHCA National Shimmer and her sister, Sparkle, won the Brace class. Shimmer also went on to win a National Award of Merit! At the February 2017 Ct. Valley Siberian Husky Club's back to back specialties Shimmer won back to back Best of Opposite Sex against heavy competition and earned two 5 point GCH majors! At the June 2017 Yankee Siberian Husky Club's specialties Shimmer earned her first Rally Novice leg with a score of 97 AND her first Beginner Novice leg with a score of 195, earning first place in both venues. At the 2017 SHCA National Shimmer and her sister Sparkle showed in a very large and competitive Brace class winning the class for the second year in a row. Shimmer made the cut in Best of Breed. Shimmer and Sparkle also made their debut in Rally Pairs and won first place. In November 2017 Shimmer then trekked to Canada and won Best of Breed and also a Working Group 2,from the classes, earning 5 points towards her Canadian Championship. At the Thanksgiving cluster in W. Springfield, MA, Shimmer won the breed all four days. Shimmer qualified for the 2018 AKC Rally National Championship at the Rally Novice level. At the 2018 SHCA National Shimmer and her sister Sparkle showed in a very large and competitive Brace class winning the class for the third year in a row. Shimmer and Sparkle again were shown in Rally Pairs scoring a perfect 100 and winning first place again! Shimmer also was shown in Rally Intermediate for the first time and also scored another perfect score of 100 and first place. In December 2018 - on her birthday - Shimmer won Best of Breed out of a large supported entry and a Working Group 3 in Oaks, PA. The same day she was again shown in Rally Intermediate for her second RI leg , once again scoring a perfect score of 100 and first place in the class! At the May 2019 Cluster in Maine - Shimmer was awarded Select Bitch 4 times with one being a 4 pt major. At 2019 4th of July Cluster Shimmer earned her third Rally Intermediate leg to turn her RN to RI! As she always does she did it in style earning a score of 99 and 1st place in her class. Shimmer took a little time off in the fall of 2019 to have a litter. Returning back to the ring in January 2020, at the Wilmington, MA shows Shimmer won Best of Breed, Best Veteran, a Group 4, and won the Veteran Working Group. Shimmer knows how to return with style! At the 2020 CT Valley Siberian Husky specialties, Shimmer won back to back Best of Opposites! At the end of February/beginning of May 2020 at the First Company Governor's Foot Guard shows Shimmer won a Best of Breed and a Select. Shown at the Connecticut River Working Group shows on the same days as the Foot Guard shows, Shimmer won Best of Breed and a group 3 and a best of Opposite Sex! Shimmer was awarded the SHCA's Highest Scoring Dog in Rally Intermediate for 2019. In May 2021 Shimmer was awarded Select Bitch from the Veterans class and Best Veteran at the Siberian Husky Club of the Niagara Frontier AM specialty. In June 2021 Shimmer was awarded an Award of Merit at the Westminster Kennel Club show. Shimmer has continued her winning ways, being expertly handled by Lisa Green, through July and August 2021 completing the requirements for her GCH Gold on August 8, 2021, by going Best of Breed at the Pioneer Valley Kennel Club show. Shimmer is the first Siberian Husky, in both AKC and SHCA history, that has a GCH Gold AND obedience and rally titles! Shimmer continued her winning ways: at the AM Yankee Siberian Husky Club Specialty June 2022 Shimmer was awarded Best Veteran Bitch and at the PM YSHC Specialty she was again awarded Best Veteran Bitch AND the Award of Merit!!In 2023 Shimmer completed her Rally Advanced title with scores of 100, 90, and 99 which included two 2nd places, qualifying her for the 2023 AKC Rally National. Flash - Shimmer competed at the 2023 AKC Rally National in the Advanced class and she put in stellar performances with scores of 96, 99 and 99 for a cumulative score of 294 (out of 300). This earned her 9th place (the same as Sparkle, her litter sister, did in 2022!) out of 99 entries! We are so proud of this girl!

Sparkle's personality and looks live up to her name. She is the full litter sister to Shimmer. Sparkle really likes to be the center of attention and is always upbeat and wagging her tail. Sparkle has begun her show carrier and is being started in obedience - she shows promise in both. Sparkle also enjoys running in harness and is a great team dog. In mid-July 2014 Sparkle won Winner's Bitch for her first point. At the CT Valley SH Specialties in February 2015 Sparkle won back to back major Reserve Winners Bitch and two weeks later at the CT River Working Group Specialty she again went Reserve Winners Bitch as well as Best Bred By, going on to win a Group 4 in the Best Bred-By in Show Group! In January 2016, at the Wilmington, MA show Sparkle Won Best Bred By, Bred By Working Group 1, AND Best Bred By in Show! The same club and show that her sister (Shimmer) won the previous year! What an accomplishment to win Best Bred By in Show, two years in a row, with two stunning litter mates. Sparkle won her first major at the CT River Working Dog Show in early March 2016! In May of 2016 at the Batavia, NY Siberian Specialty she won the Bred By class and Winners Bitch for a 5pt CH Major to finish her CH (She only needed a single point, but we aren't complaining that she won 5). At the 2016 SHCA National Sparkle proved she is more than a pretty face, taking first place in the Beginner Novice B obedience class and second place in the Rally Novice B class for her first legs in both. Sparkle and her sister, Shimmer, won the Brace class. Sparkle also went on to make the first cut in the Best of Breed competition! ! At the June 2017 Yankee Siberian Husky Club's AM show, Sparkle went Best of Opposite Sex for a 5 point Grand Champion major. .At the 2018 SHCA National Sparkle and her sister Shimmer showed in a very large and competitive Brace class winning the class for the third year in a row. Shimmer and Sparkle again were shown in Rally Pairs scoring a perfect 100 and winning first place again! At the 2018 SHCA National Sparkle also debuted in the Novice Obedience class, earning her first CD leg and first place in the class! Sparkle completed her Grand Championship in October 2018. Sparkle traveled to Canada in November 2018 and won Best of Breed from the classes, over specials, earning half of her points towards her Canadian Championship! Sparkle again traveled to Canada in November 2019 and was awarded Best of Winners to almost complete her Canadian CH. In December 2020, on her birthday, Sparkle, stepped back into the rally ring and took first place scoring a perfect 100 for her first Rally Intermediate leg. In 2020 Sparkle will be working towards completing her CD and Rally Intermediate degree. After almost a year of no trials due to COVID, Sparkle got back into the rally ring and earned her second Rally Intermediate leg with a solid score of 95 and first place in her class in November 2020. Sparkle completed her Rally Intermediate title in July 2021 with a first place in her class and a nice score of 99. She then earned her first Rally Advance leg with a solid score of 96 and 3rd place. Sparkle completed her Rally Advanced title with excellent scores of 100 qualifying her for the 2022 AKC Rally National Championships. Sparkle completed her CD title at the Connecticut Valley Siberian Club morning specialty with second place in her class and a nice score of 193. Then at the afternoon Connecticut Valley specialty she was awarded Best Veteran in Veterans Sweepstakes. After a long hiatus due to COVID, Sparkle completed her Canadian CH title at the St. Francis Kennel Club show June 2022. Needing only 1 point to finish she finished in style by going Winners Bitch from the Bred By class for a 3-point major. Sparkle is now semi-retired.

Gryff shows quite an aptitude for obedience as well as backpacking and recreational dogsledding, Gryff is a strong addition to our team and runs either wheel or team. In April 2015 at the Springfield KC show, Gryff went to his first 4-6 month Beginner Puppy show and won Best of Breed and Group 1 in the Beginner Puppy Working Group. Gryff made his rally debut in early June 2017, earning two Rally Novice legs back to back. He scored 97 and 4th place at his first trial and a 97 and 2nd place in the afternoon trial. Gryff completed his Rally Novice title in November 2017 with two back to back legs - scoring 96/100 and 4th place and 99/100 and 2nd place! Gryff qualified for the 2018 AKC Rally National Championship in Novice. Gryff completed his Rally Intermediate title In July 2019. Gryff was introduced to FAST CAT and he really enjoys it! Gryff will be working towards his BN degree this year as well as towards completing his BCAT title. After almost a year of no trials due to COVID , Gryff debuted in Beginner Novice B at the Holyoke KC trial in November 2020 . Gryff gave a wonderful performance, earning his first BN leg with a score of 198.5 and first place in his class! What a start to his long awaited obedience career. At the Holyoke KC Trial in July 2021, Gryff earned his 2nd Beginner Novice leg with another first place and a solid score of 197 1/2! Gyrff completed his Beginner Novice title in late September 2021 with a solid score of 197. At the Eastern Dog Club December 2021 shows Gryff earned his first two legs towards his Companion Dog title, with scores of 188 1/2 and 185 1/2. At the Souhegan Kennel Club Jume 2022 trials Gryff earned his first third and final leg for his Companion Dog title. He had a very nice score of 191 1/2 and placed third in the class! Flash - Gryff had a good year in 2023 in FastCAT, earning his DCAT title, pending AKC confirmation. He also earned his Rally Advanced title with some very nice scores and placements.

2019 SHCA Highest Scoring Siberian in Beginner Novice Obedience AND Rally Novice
Silk is showing herself to be a valuable addition to our kennel and to our recreational dogsled team including showing nice leadership potential.Silk started her show career with a bang! At the May 2017 Niagara Frontier Siberian Husky Club specialty, Silk won her 6-9 month class and went on to win Best Puppy in Show! At the June 2017 Yankee Siberian Husky Club's AM show, Silk won Best Puppy in Sweepstakes and then went on to win her regular 6-9 month class AND then Winner's Bitch for her first points - a 4 point specialty major! Silk earned her Novice Trick Dog title in December of 2017. In October 2019 Silk started off her obedience career with a nice double header, Northern Light's Taylored in Silk, TKN, does a doubleheader for her debut in the obedience and rally rings. She received a score of 193 1/2 in Beginner Novice B and a score of 99 in Rally Novice B, earning her 1st place in each class! In October 2020 at the Siberian Husky Club of Greater Cleveland's regional specialty, Silk was shown in the open bitch class and won 3rd place in a lovely class of bitches. She then switched to Beginner Novice and scored a 190 for second place and her second BN leg. She then put on her Rally Novice B shoes and scored a perfect 100 earning her 1st place and her 2nd RN leg. The following day she donned her backpack and led the SHCA's Working Pack Dog 5 and 10 mile hike, earning her 10 more miles towards her WPD degree. The following day ran 2 FAST CAT and earned two BCAT legs. In the afternoon she again donned her rally shoes and once again scored a perfect 100 in Rally Novice B, earning her second place and her 3rd RN leg completing her RN title. Then she and her mom, "Shiya", CH Northern Light's Shiya Arian, CD, RA, WPD, were part of a rally team - novice, the East Coast Hustlers. The team came in first place with a near perfect score of 396! Both Silk and Shiya scored perfect 100's for the team. The next day Silk once again put on her obedience shoes and showed in Beginner Novice B. She score a nice 196, earning first place and her 3rd BN leg also completing this title! Silk wasn't quite done with showcasing our kennel motto, the following day she then passed her Pulling Ability Test and under judge Pat Hastings, Silk was awarded 4th place in a very nice competitive Am Bred class of 17. Silk was once again beautifully handled by Lisa Green. Silk is a perfect example of our kennel motto - Beauty - Brains - Ability! In December 2019 Silk went BOS. Silk qualified for the 2020 AKC Rally National Championships at the Rally Novice level. Silk was awarded the SHCA's Highest Scoring Dog in Beginner Novice Obedience AND Rally Novice for 2019. Flash - in 2023 Silk completed her Rally Intermediate title with very nice scores and placements. She also is continuing to run in Fast CAT trials working towards her DCAT title,

2022 SHCA Highest Scoring Siberian in Rally Novice
Reis is a very sweet boy who is also very willing. He is a great addition to our recreational dogsled team and shows leadership potential already.He debuted in the the show ring in the Beginner Puppy class in August 2018 and won Beginner Puppy Best of Breed and went on to win a Beginner Puppy Group 1! Needing a little time to mature he went back into the show ring in 2019. In April 2019 at the Springfield KC show, Reis won Best of Winners for his first points. At the 2019 4th of July Cluster, Reis won Winners Dog and Best of Winners on Wednesday and Reserve Winners Dog on Saturday. At the end of November 2019, Reis, wonderfully handled by Lisa Green, picked up his first (3pt.) major going Winner's Dog and then Best of Winners (at the same show his litter sister, Sparrow, won her first (3 pt.) major). The next day, Reis again handled by Lisa Green, added another major win! The following weekend, December 2019, Reis went BOW. Reis is looking to finish his CH in 2021. Reis was awarded his final CH points at the Wampanoag KC on the 4th of July 2021! He was then moved up to the Best of Breed class at the Tunbridge VT shows and was awarded Select Dog for his three Grand Champion majors! Reis is being trained for obedience and rally but will also continue being shown to complete his GCH. Reis completed his Rally Novice title with four perfect scores of 100! - 3 legs plus a bumper leg, qualifying him for the 2023 AKC Rally National Championships! Flash - in 2023 Reis competed at the 2023 AKC Rally National Championships in the Novice class. This was Reis's first big away trip, and he handled it well. He scored 97, 95 and 99 with a cumulative score of 292. Reis placed 50th out of a very large class of 149. We are very proud of him and look forward to what the future may bring for this guy!

Sparrow is an impish girl full of fun. She enjoys running on our recreational dogsled team. In July 2018 Sparrow debuted in the show ring in the 4 to 6 beginner puppy class, winning Best of Breed 4 to 6 beginner puppy and going on to win a 4 to 6 beginner puppy Working Group 3. In September 2018, being shown for the first time in the regular 6-9 class, she went Winners Bitch for her first point. At the 2018 National, Sparrow made all the cuts in her 6-9 month class and she passed her Pulling Aptitude Test (P.A.T.) In November 2018 she again won Winners Bitch and then later in the month won Puppy Best of Breed and a Puppy Working Group 3! In February 2019 at the Connecticut Valley SH PM specialty, Sparrow won Best Of Opposite Sex in the puppy Sweepstakes. Sparrow went back into the ring at the 2019 4th of July Cluster and on Saturday she went Reserve Winners Bitch after a 7 month recovery from a foot injury, Sparrow made us proud at the 2019 SHCA National, under judge Pat Hastings, Sparrow made the cut In a lovely competitive Open Bitch class of 24.In October 2019 Sparrow won three back to back Reserve Winners Bitch, two of which were major reserves. At the 2019 Thanksgiving Cluster in West Springfield, MA, Sparrow, won Winner's Bitch for her first (3pt.) major (her litter brother Reis also picked up his first (3pt.) major at the same show). The following weekend in December, Sparrow won Best of Winners for her 2nd 3 point major. At the end of February 2020, Sparrow took Winner's Bitch and then Best of Winners for her final CH points. Due to an entry error, Sparrow debuted as a special at the Springfield KC November 2020 show and was awarded BOS, earning her first 4 points towards her Grand Championship. This girl did not disappoint at her debut back into the show ring. At the June 2022 Yankee Siberian Husky Club AM Specialty Sparrow was awarded Best In Specialty and Best Owner Handled!! At the YSHC PM Specialty she was awarded Best of Opposite Sex!! Both wins were 5 point majors!! Flash - In 2023 Sparrow whelped the newest addition to our pack: Flame. After her hiatus from showing due to motherhood, she won her second OHBIS, several regular group placements, and several Owner Handled Group 1sts and many other placements. She ranked in the Owner Handled Top Twenty for the year, receiving an invitation to the AKC NOHS Invitational. She is currently working towards her Grand Champion Silver.

Northern Light's TTFN Aylin - "Aylin"
Aylin is our newest addition to our kennel. She is a fun loving girl who is always very active and takes everything in stride. She is just starting her show career and has several points towards her championship. Aylin was awarded back to back Reserve Winners Bitch at the Pioneer Valley KC shows in August 2021.

Flame started his show career by winning Best Beginner Puppy in Show his very first show, and several BPG1's following. He was shown 7 times in the Bred-By Puppy class, winning Winners Dog 6 times, and Reserve Winners dog once. He also won several Best of Winners. For such limited training, showing, and being so young, we are so impressed with his adaptability and goofy approach to things. We look forward to his future!
